The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18,. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders,passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Finance who will work closely with the Bursar in supporting the Head, Trustees and Governors to deliver efficient, effective and sustainable use of resources. The role includes continually looking for areas to add value to the organisation, in turn allowing the Foundation to make further investments in facilities and buildings. This is a pivotal role and the successful candidate will lead and inspire two small finance teams to enable the timely production of financial information and the integrity of the the accounting records. Building good relationships with colleagues across all departments through regular communication will be key to creating efficient processes.
The role is for 40 hours per week, throughout the year, however some flexibility may be possible for the right candidate.
