The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18,. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders,passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.
We are seeking an experienced and well qualified Visiting Tutor of Woodwind to join our thriving department from January 2025.
This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and busy department, with high expectations of all students and with ample opportunity to build on the already established tuition timetable.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering excellence in the teaching of the whole woodwind family, whilst being confident delivering both classical and jazz syllabuses.
All Visiting Music Teachers are required to work with individuals and small groups. It would be advantageous for the candidate to have experience of teaching from beginner to diploma level.
Visiting Music Teachers must be enthusiastic and committed team members. Applications are welcome from experienced instrumental teachers who share the core educational values of the department and who are committed to excellence in the teaching, learning and well-being of young people.
All Visiting Music Tutors at RAAS are self-employed and invoice the parents directly for a term of teaching in advance.
